All in one units tend to be less flexible, than receivers, with less options, also the amps are usually a lot weaker and limited in what type speakers they can push... they have less connection options and many times will only play connected components in stereo not surround, surround is reserved for the integrated DVD player, you would be much better off with a dedicated receiver, than an all in one unit.
