Can my laptop record with a Hauppauge HD PVR?

Can I use the Hauppauge HD PVR 1304 to record onto a laptop then transfer my recordings onto a computer?

There are ways to use a USB booster cable 20 to 25 feet is what the norm is and 30 is pushing the envelope yet I always like doing that as we do that just about every week...... The other though is the AVerMedia Avertv HD USB that is suppose to be a good PVR yet the system requirements are pretty good for transferring so 25 to 30 foot booster could or would work. There is another unit out there that does have a hard drive built in it, only gig is until I really get to see the unit on the Net and some pics of the unit and what Hard Drive they use as well as the OS then I would say get it.
