Will the tuner in dvd recorder lose it's usefulness when all tv channels broadcast in HD?

Answer:
Unfortunately, yes, if that tuner is analog only. I'm sure that the DVD recorder allows you to use another input, like a digital tuner or a cable-satellite receiver using composite/s-video-etc., but if you use the analog tuner in the DVD recorder, that will be as useless after 18 Feb 2009 as the tuners in VCRs.
