I know this sounds crazy, But I have run across a problem similar to that in the questions. the answer someone gave that seemed to work was to check your host and lmhost file. Some virus or strange program set yahoos entry to go someplace else. Please update your question if you get it fixed. Edit: Have you been in contact with Yahoo directly?
