Why does my cd-rw not work in the car cd player?

  • I burnt songs on a blank cd on my computer and for some reason it doesn't work in my car.... its a newish car... only 2yrs old so why doesn't it work do i have the wrong type of cd or ...show more

    Hi.. Are you sure,you burned the disk in audio cd format.Simply copying the songs to a cd to a disk wont make it readable by the CD player in your car.You have to burn the disk in audio cd format,better burn it using cd burning softwares. Regards Slash

Older CD players in cars are incapable of playing "burnt" CD's, I can see yr car is 2 yrs old so which cd burning programme do you use? Might have to upgrade your car's CD player or plug in your IPOD. Good luck

Not all CD players can play cd-rw because the disc has not been 'finished'. Get a CD player that is compatible or just use normal CDs
