How do you print a document?

How come, i can print the test print and in notepad, but i cannot print using word document.?

  One, verify that MS Office printer settings show the printer you want to work as the default one. Two, the cable is connected properly. Three, disconnect the power to the printer and reconnect after a minute and try again. IF they don't work, msg me
