I'm running Windows Media Centre Xp, and using an Nvidia graphics card. It sends video via s-video to my TV, but I would like it to send it via the monitor cable to my PC ...show more

Try pluging in your monitor, turn it on, and go to Windows XP device manager and right click on any device and select "scan for hardware changes" in the context menu. That should trigger Windows to do a IRQ scan and find your monitor.
