Where can i get a disk to update my computer to Windows XP?

you should look around more to find xp they still sell it . as for the automatic update it will not update your 2000 to xp it just updates your 2000 . there are site were you can d/l xp free but over all there could be problems and knowledge on what your doing . if all else fails take it to a shop and have them install xp for you ..

The XP is not an update it's a different O/S. As you have been told they are no longer selling XP, it is now only available pre installed on low spec laptops and net books. Even Windows Vista is now starting to look old with forecast of Windows 7 arriving around Christmas. I would check to see if your computer is powerful enough and jump straight to Windows 7. It looks like the best version ever.

XP is not and update. Nor is Vista, etc. All you can do is pony up the money for a retail copy of the newer OS.
