There are league tables out there (google uk university league tables)if you wanted to by reputation. But honestly, you should also look at what the uni offers you outside of your study time and where you would enjoy to study the most. It also depends on what language specifically. If you wanted to go for Chinese or Japanese you'd need to look at other places than those for French or German.
