How important are gcse grades when applying to good universities?

    What I think you should do is do an IB or an AP program if you want to go to an ivy league or one of the top ten collages. Also don't forget about the internships and community services! You have pretty good grades so far, so all you need to worry about now is your SATs and maybe your SSAT (don't worry its really easy, like year 7/8 easy, but no calculators are allowed in the exam). If you know what you want course you want to study in university, look at what the qualifications for the top 10 universities, since they usually require more. If you are entering an IB or an AP program, choose very carefully about what courses you are taking, for example, if you want to do economics, don't chose biology and art for your Higher Level course, and you have to choose Higher Level math, or else it won't qualify for the university. You should be aware that you need to take the SAT and get your results back (which can take 4/6 weeks) be the time you apply to schools. Applications for Fall 2014 will start to open up late August 2013
