Don't use a used HDD for System C:/drive/ Purchase a brand New HDD/ WIN 7 is on a DVD..not a CD === If you must use a used HDD.. Use a external enclosure..and reformat it..useing a different PC-useing Windows[tm] Choose..No Drive Letter.. That may work.

set your optical drive as boot device 1, and then your hard drive 2nd
