  • Answer:

Before you start your next batch of chili you should flavor your meat or meat substitute by sauting chopped onion, green pepper and celery in a little oil. add some minced garlic then add your meat. Cook the meat through then start adding your other ingredients. I use Brooks chili beans. I like adding chopped carrots to my chili, after I have saute my veggies, it gives it a real bite. You can add some ketchup to the chili that you have made to loosen it up and it adds more taste. You can pre-make your meat or meat substitute with the above veggies then freeze it. Then you you want to make chili or spaghetti or what ever, you just have to reheat, it only takes a minute.

I make mine with 1 can of chili magic (it has the spices and the beans, 1 large can of crushed or petite cut tomatoes, and 1 lb light life ground (you can use any brand you like). Just combine all the ingredients in a pot and heat to boiling. Boil it for 5-10 minutes and it's done. I also buy chichi's corn cake mix and a can of cream corn. Follow the direction on the mix. The corn cake takes over 40 minutes and the chili only takes around 10 minutes, so start the cake first. When they are both finished you scoop some corn cake into a bowl and fill the rest with chili. It has a nice presentation and it's DELICIOUS! I have never got any complaints! It couldn't be any more simple either. It serves 4-6 and it only costs around 12.50.

I make chili with: fake ground beef (boca, morningstar, etc). Even if you don't like it you can't really tell when the chili's done. Kidney beans chopped red/green bell peppers V8 juice (to make it less thick) Canned tomatoes (you can use the tomato you have) Ground cumin, chili pepper, and black pepper. Just mix the ingredients and heat!

Sounds like you still need some garlic, either fresh or dried if you have it. If you have any other type of veggies, raw or canned, dice those and throw them in. Corn is good, as is chopped zucchini (or any other squash). If it is too thick, use the rest of your canned tomato, including the liquid. Salt and pepper would help add some flavour. If you eat cheese, that always tastes good with chili. Hope it works out for ya.

Haha i dont eat meat either,But If you mean the Chili Is Too Thick?,And That Chili Sure sounds good,Too Bad i despise eating, however it sounds very spicy and good, but just imagine the calories you'll have to burn afterwards..,BUT Usually if its Thick it won't be good,Little Own Delicious,So ...Maybe you can RE-Try to make it?,But Not So Thick?,Or you could Put some water in it,But Water in chili dont sound good.
