Because Israel wasn't established on a strictly religious basis. Otherwise it'd be no better than Iran and Saudi Arabia. Israel isn't a theocracy. It's the rightful place of a people who were created there and lived there for thousands. Of the people who fought for it and won, fair and square.

Jews have a right to Israel for practical real world reasons: ... - They have a right to self-rule & non-dhimmhi status. - Over 800,000 were kicked out of Arab & Muslim countries when Israel was formed, & absorbed by her. - So it was a big people swap, same as with Pakistan. .... - They petitioned the UN & formed all the elements of a working country before hand (such as government). - She was granted statehood by the UN & offered it to ALL people in her borders as a democracy. Same way a # of countries formed, that no one objects to: Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, parts of Africa... .... - Militarily they won statehood at a time when many countries were formed militiarily. - Jews have a right to stop being told the world has a right to annihilate them, whether it be a 60 year old country, or individually. .... - It was formed by secular Jews for security & to be a homeland as a response to world persecution of Jews. Muslim & Arab countries were not exempt from that persecution. Some helped the Vichy French, some helped Hitler & the Nazis. There were outbreaks of persecution in Muslim countries over the centuries. .... - In Judaism God promised it to the Jews. That doesn't mean take it.
