    If you want a camera because of its features, then avoid point-and-shooters such as the Flip. Aiptek and DXG are really good brands that sell HD camcorders for under $200. I have owned cameras of both brands, and from my experience Aiptek is more reliable. However, I have never had major problems with either brand.

I have used the Flip camcorders and haven't had any problems with them. I even used it in the snow and cod while snowboarding. I have a Insignia HD camcorder that was working great until recently.
