Do I need a phone line for internet?

How can we provide internet access in a house for many people to use wirelessly? we dont need the phone line.?

    Get Virgin Broadband, you don't need a phone line but you need to be in a virgin media cable area. Once you have done that then all you need is a wireless router.

Clear w re is a wirless brad band!!! theres also Comcast and a few others!!! I have comcast and it costs like 60.00 a month and adding on to that you need to buy a modem(60.00) and also a router(90.00) !!! otherwise its nice having higspeed.

get a wireless router. you connect your broadband line into it and you simply connect wirelessly and get internet.

You need to buy a wireless router. you can get these at best buy, radio shack, etc. once u have a router you hook the internet cord up to it and then you buy wireless adapters to all your devices that wish to access the wireless internet. Hope that helps :D

Realistically, Virgin is your only option. All BT type providers require a phone service to operate. Satellite really needs a phone line for uploading and requesting Internet pages.
