Can you playback videos on a flip hd?

What do I need for smooth playback of HD videos?

• In terms of hardware & software. Suggest me a good and stable video software. I can play HD videos smoothly up to 1400 X resolution but it lags when I play 1600 X resolution.

  This may be of two reasons: -Your video card is not powerful enough either if its a graphics card or a built in/on-board graphics. -You are virus scanning or doing something that reads a lot from your hard drive. I find that if your virus scanning, even though your system is very capable of getting smooth video play back, your videos being played on any media player will still be choppy because it can not read several pieces of information at a time. I would strongly recommend that you make sure no virus scans are running. Also, if this HD video you are watching is on youtube, it may be your internet connection. I would recommend hardware upgrades to the graphics card and not the hard drive as its there is really no problem with it. Just make sure your motherboard is compatible with the graphics card you will be getting and that your power supply unit also supports enough power to the graphics card & system plus a graphics card that is good enough for those sort of "HD" stuff like video editing, HD Movies, etc. Right now, i can not suggest you good hardware you can buy to resolve this issue. All i can say is, please reply to me if you can with your computer's brand and model (e.g. HP Slimline s3020 not my computer, its from some guy i helped with on yahoo answers and i remembered it). If you can, list the computer's motherboard, power supply unit's watts capacity, operating system you are currenetly running on, resolution of your monitor or any other information that you may think will be useful in resolving your video playback issue.
