Can I rip audio from a video?

Is there a program that will let me rip the audio track from a video file?

    Yep, a free program called "Audacity" will do the job for you. You can download it at the below link. Install it and start it up, and you'll notice a down arrow at the upper right area that by default is set to "Line-In". Just click on that arrow and change the setting to "What U Hear". Click on the "Record" button and start up your video right after that. When the video ends, click on the "Stop" button in Audacity. At that point you can click on "File" and then "Export As Wav" and save it as a wav file to wherever you choose. Good luck.

I'm not sure on programs, but you can use a cable w/ 1/8 inch jacks on each end. Plug one end into the speaker out port and the other into the microphone port. Use Audacity or other audio program to record the sound.

You might want to look at VLC. It's got a ton of capabilities and it's free. Not sure if it will do exactly what you want though.
