    if ur sure that ur guna stick 2 skatin then u ahead n buy a good board. Speed Demon decks are very durable n cheap, like under$40. Plan B decks are light wieght. most deck has good pop. and speed depend most on the wheels n bearings. complete board are very pricey

I got mine from target for christmas. it was my first ever skateboard and it works perfectly fine and was cheap. if you are just starting do not get a designer brand one. they are very expensive and there is no diff when you are first starting out. the brand i got is kryptonics. it rules and is very light and can go as fast as you want. is excellent when you are first starting your tricks,. but,, be sure that when you first get your board to loosen the screw on the trucks. i forgot to do that when i got my board it wouldnt turn and i thot it was because it was bad quality but turns out i forgot to loosen my trucks...heehee...silly me.........
