How do you delete contacts on the palm pre?

    Select the contact and click the "Edit" button. Then click in the upper-left corner of the screen, which is a menu that is contextual to whatever application you are in currently. When you are editing a contact, one of the options is "Delete". You will be presented with a confirmation screen. Click "Delete All Profiles" to confirm the delete. Yes, "Delete All Profiles" sounds scary. I was worried at first as well, but it just means you're confirming the deletion of that contact. See page 142 of your Palm Pre User Guide for more information.

I am having trouble also deleting contacts. It won't let me delete any AIM contacts. Also I can't log out of AIM!!! I can get to the screen with the options for either logging into AIM or deleting the account, but I can't select either of those options and there isn't an option for logging out. Apparently it is showing that I am on AIM 24/7 now, and I am receiving IMs 24/7. Very annoying.

select the contact you want to delete, then do edit, then you will have an option to delete.
