Does anyone here own the new iPhone 3G?

Does anyone have an iphone now & planning on getting the new 3G iphone when it's released?

If so, what are your plans? Will you be cancelling your iphone plan, and getting the new contract? BTW how much does it cost to terminate a contract with AT&T and getting a new one?

First of all - if you have an iPhone now and you plan to upgrade to the new 3G, it is not necessary to cancel your plan with AT&T and start a new one. The contract you signed when you initiate your plan with any wireless service just says that you will use them for cell phone service for 1, 2, 3, etc years. You can switch phones as many times as you like during that time period without a termination fee. Secondly, to answer your question regarding people planning to upgrade to the new iPhone, I know at least 5 people that are planning to do so. The 3G offers a couple key features that the iPhone 1.0 didn't that make the upgrade worth the cheap price! (Namely the GPS, and the 3G Network support) The 8GB is only going to be $199.00 - which is cheaper than the 8GB iPod Touch!
