Need help with blackberry pearl?

    Actually - it sounds like a setup problem. What you should do is update the blackberry software. You can pull the software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ Being a Pearl user, you can use the Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2. Install the software then plug your blackberry into the computer w/ the desktop manager running. It should see there's applications missing or needing update, and will walk you through the install. That should fix the problem. If it doesn't call the provider (T-Mobile or Cingular I assume) and they should be able to help out.

It sounds like the software on the phone is corrupted. You can go to the cell provider Tmobile etc., and have them download the software to your phone again or if you want to try it go out to RIM (research in motion) and download it to your computer and then flash your phone (it is easier than it sounds) and sometimes the cell provider has it on their website for download also. If that doesn't solve your problem I would think you have a defective phone.
