What is the cheapest way to make calls from the US to a UK cell phone?

    You should really use Skype. It's the cheapest way to go. What phone do you have? If your phone doesn't support Skype then it might support a program that has Skype on it like Fring (fring.com). Have you checked with Tmobile? They seem to have the most affordable plans.

AT&T and Verizon both allow SKYPE or GOOGLE VOICE. its a nice service that is free for now but in july will charge a small fee for calling. If you both have skype numbers, it should just call eachother. Its easier if you both have iphones. If you don't you can always call for free on your computer if you have a webcam. http://www.skype.com/
