  • Answer:

I would go with a 1080p, and a lcd is a good choice because the picture wont burn in like a plasma. If you wanted a good buy try a Vizio at walmart or samsclub or a sanyo at walmart which are the cheapest tvs right now but i dont like sanyos because the display is blurry with regular cable. hope u find a good tv.

The refresh rate is important. The lower the millisecond refresh rate the better the picture quality will be. Also make sure the TV's you are looking at are side by side so you can do a real picture comparison. If price is a real consideration look at the Vizio line of products. You will lose some of the picture quality but the price was half of the next comparable model.

1080P, highest contrast ratio and refresh rate you can get (the latter for fast moving video), and probably the most important is where can you get it repaired (all TV's break, hopefully later than sooner). Buy a name brand that has been around for a while and check out a local TV shop to see what they sell and repair.

The refresh rate. LCD High Definition compatible (Most TV's are and most television service provider offer high definition for free).
