What's the difference between TiVo Series 1 and Tivo Series 2?

Whats the difference between Sony Bravia 37" L-series, M-series, & N-Series?

We simply do not know what you finances are like. However, at least for me, when I buy something fairly expensive like a TV, I tend to keep it for many years. Therefore, when I make the purchase, I view the idea of saving a few dollars as unwise and I'll go for the top of the line. Additionally, you should consider that you might want to get a blu ray DVD player at some time, so this is another reason to look for a 1080P 120 hertz set.
