Why cant i send and receive instant messages?

when i sign into yahoo and go to start to chat it tells me there are errors and i cant see what someone is sayin to me or what i have written them. Can you help me?

heres a few suggestions check ya firewall/popup blocker goto www.javasun.com get the newest version of java and also download a new version of messenger if that dont work email me @ [email protected] ill help you out
