Why has Messenger suddenly stopped working on my Samsung Nexus? My contacts show offline?

i also have the same fault which started yesterday, tried reinstalling 3 times to no avail and even tried deleting yahoo mail in case it was a conflict of information. Surely someone knows what is going on? My friends also have the same problem.
