Why can I get into Yahoo mail and not into Messenger?

Why can't you be on Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo mail at the same time? You get disconnected from one place?

  • I find if Im logged in Messenger, I get disconnected from reg mail chat? How can this be? It doesn't make sense too me!

    Your yahoo default option makes you probably available for yahoo chats. So on getting to your mail, you are online for yahoo chats, thus bumped from yahoo messenger. If you don´t want this, just go to the chat status bullet box on your yahoo mail inbox (above the screen, at the right of your user name). Then click the option "offline". You just have to do it once.

because when your logged into yahoo mail you can use messenger from there it may just be set up o where you log in and it signs on for you

maybe you should uninstall yahoo and reinstall it and see if that helps there must be something wrong cos you can be in 2 places at once
