How to hit a spin serve in tennis?

Tennis: A new technique has been invented to hit the ball with more spin and power, much better than the windshield wiper, are you aware of it?

  • I am a tennis loving retiree who invented, 7 years ago ,a technique that allowed me to hit forehand and backhand with maximum power and topspin, much more so than the existing ' windshield wiper' .I have lived and played in the Las Vegas during that http://time.%20no/ one, recreational players as well as a few professional players, has been able to return my forehand due to heavy topspin and power. All they could do was trying to screw it with low, soft, short shots. As a result I haven't had a good rally for the last 3-4 years. But that's not the only advantage of heavy topspin, you can hit the ball as hard as you can without practically never flying it long, you can sharly angle your shots to the sideline, by the service line, for a winner without having to sustain a 30 shots rally as seen in professional tournaments. You can also blast any short ball with power to finish off the point , obviating the need for cat and mouse, back and forth play in the forecourt. With heavy topspin you can  shorten the trajectory of your serve, and elevate your first serve percentage into the 90's. For the 2nd serve, i just direct the ball 2 feet away from the corners with maximum power, so my 2nd serve at this point is more powerful than my first, and becoming unreturnable just like my forehand. Obviously, in my opinion, this is a superior technique than anything available at present. It will set the standard for the 21st century tennis and change the way we play it. I am currently looking for a few young players male as well as female, with ambition to become grandslam champ to train for that purpose, especially those who compete on the ITF circuit and think they will need a weapon to make it to the top, or any junior aspiring players. I would be thrilled to meet with the top-notched tennis players who want to test my groundstrokes to see if their groundstrokes can stack up to mine. I am sure it will be worth their while. Hi Larry, thanks for the question. i have never played in a league, nor had an official ntrp rating. I don't see myself fit in any category of NTRP, because i hit shots that even 7.0 player had trouble returning during a rally. For 5.0 players on down , they don't challenge my forehand, but use short, low and soft shots to prevent me from hitting my groundstrokes, that works for a few session until i find a way to blast the ball away. I am 59 years old and don't have enough stamina to play single against younger players, but i can easily beat 5.0 players in a double. My intention is that i will find a few young players to train them with my technique so that they will become champions. Thanks Addendum : no this technique is not grip dependent.

Your anatomy prevents you from hitting the forehand and backhand with the same technique.  It therefore seems rather dubious to me that 'a' technique, as you say, can suffice the needs of either stroke.  Furthermore, a portion of swing energy is diverted to spin generation, and another to impact: either can be maximized but not both.  Hitting maximal top spin generates no forwards velocity, and hitting maximal power probably results in sailing. As hitting both maxima is not possible, there must be a compromise due to physical limitations of the human body.  That is the art of tennis, not hitting maximal everything.
