How do I delete an old yahoo messenger account and the user is no longer on the computer?

    You cant delete another persons account. If its a Yahoo account as you said,, then it is stored on the server and not your computer so dont worry about it.

If he's not on the account to use it ,same as being gone don't open that account.You can't delete the messenger if your useing it.Just sign in your name and forget the other one.If he was on the computer other than messenger you go into,Start,control panel,user accounts, and remove his account in there.

Go into the computer's control panel to acct. screen/creating/deleting acct. and when you remove this person as a user you can right click on the messenger and then left click on delete and it will do so! Hope I helped. ;-) SerialWife81
