How do i fix my messenger?

Messenger keeps telling me I am not in Messenger, even though I am using it. How do I fix this?

    did you set yourself as "appear offline"? if you default yourself as appear offline. i think that's what caused the problem. i have pc but had that same problem a while ago. i think it's msn's problem but not ur computer. use gmail. chat, i think it's better and they do have IM now.

this happens me too, not sure what the problem is but if it bothers you, i'd uninstall it and reinstall it. Hopefully that will sort it out
