Actually, you can use the Groups Message Poster (Rich Text Editor link) to include images in group messages. But these are "inline" in the message body, not "attached" as a separate file. And, as Waverly mentioned, the group must allow attachments for this to work.

You cant attach a photo when posting of the group site, you have to send it via your own e-mail provider to the groups posting address.
