Difference in Shimano font Derailleurs?

The bike I'm looking at either has a Shimano "FD-M530 Front Derailleur" or a "FD-M510" Derailleur. Are they both DEORE? And what's the difference from the ...show more

Good answer Mirage, I use Saint components on my DH bikes and Saint is in its own category of heavy bomb proof Down Hill components. Definitely not to be compared with Alivio! EEww! I feel the FD M530 is stronger and has more options to choose from like Top swing, bottom swing and some freeriders use the M530 because it can be used with some 83mm bottom brackets and the different chain line angles. The M530 also works with Saint cranks which the M510 will not work. It also works good without the high cost if its get bashed. Kimber
