How do you do an air reverse?

I went mudding in my jeep the whole engine was not under jus where the air fliter was and i put it in reverse?

  • it was in reverse for a little then it cut off and wouldnt start the starter will turn but the engine will not turn over checked oil no water in it how should i dry it out to get it ...show more

  • Answer:

If it still turns over, hopefully it is not full of water pull the air filter out and replace Pull all spark plugs and turn the engine over for 30 seconds (If there is any water in the cylinders, it will shoot out so stand back) spray a butt load of WD40 into all the plug holes and let it sit for half an hour turn the engine over again install new plugs or clean the old plugs Try to start it If it starts, great No start, you might have bent the valves when the filter went under water, you sucked water into your engine I did this when I was a kid....I was at the river in a Toyota truck and I went through a "puddle" that was 5' deep in the middle. It ate my truck and filled the engine with water. I did what I listed above along with changing the fluid in the diffs and transmission. About 6 months later, my throwout bearing went out...it was rusty when I changed it.
