How can you learn magic?

If you truly want to learn magic, then you will have to learn to separate fantasy from reality. Harry Potter is fiction....real-life magic isn't what you see in Harry Potter. Levitation and telepathy is not magic. Also, please consider how you would prove something *doesn't exist*? I'd really like to know that one. There are many real-life magical systems out there - it would help to know which in particular you are interested in - and yes, it does matter as different systems will teach differently. I suggest you start doing some research at your local library and/or bookstores. If it is witchcraft you are interested in, then I would recommend Christopher Penczak's "The Inner Temple of Witchcraft" as a good starting point. Take the time to really work through that book - it is based on the beginner witchcraft courses he teaches in person (the course in the book is set up as a year-long beginner course). And prepare yourself for A LOT of study and practice.

Research, research, research. There's lot's of different types of magick; withcraft, runes, elemental, esoteric, ancient and the list goes on. Read stuff on the internet, buy some books, read about different practices. Better yet, try talking to people who practice. There's a lot of different recources out there, but if you avoid wikipedia and keep learning, you'll be able to make your own assumptions and figure out what you want to study. Yeah magic does exist, but It's something that should be taken seriously. Unless you were talking about magic TRICKS, the craft is a way of life that's practiced by Wiccan and Pagen religions. It's not something you can just decide to be. If you are interested, look up Wiccan and Pagen beliefs and see if they match yours.

you learn magick just like you learn anything else, you must study, go to google and study the basics, I would start out with white magick and protection spells because you will need them later on if you decide to work with demons or black magick ( people say magick is colorless but I dont care it is what it is) best of luck
