How much should parts and labor cost to replace the front brake pads and rotors on a 2005 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl?
-
The local shop quoted 486.45. I looked up the cost of parts and its about 110. This labor charge seems a bit high.

Answer:
You aren't getting pads and 2 rotors for $110 unless they're garbage parts. We charge $115 for labor here at the dealership to change pads and rotors(obviously parts are extra). If I was using AC Delco/GM parts that price is even high. Shop elsewhere or ask them for a breakdown of their parts prices and their labor charges.
