How Hard is it to become a English Teacher ?

  • I've wanted to become a teacher for a long time now but some people say I'm not smart enough...and i just want to know is it really hard to become a English Teacher?

    It's not hard; you just need the schooling (at least 4 years of college; anymore and you just get higher pay) and the teaching certification. What's hard is trying to get a job. English and history teachers are quite plentiful and hang on to their jobs until retirement, generally. Math and science teachers are more in demand because less people go those fields to teach. But if you try you can do it.
