Is Jack Straw correct in what he says?

What Jack said has been an issue with Sikh girls in this country for years, I heard about this sort of thing 20 odd years ago.

What he has said is correct but, his timing is one of politics. As you have said this problem has been know for sometime so one has to call in the New Labour immigration policy which was; Open the flood gates and call Conservatives racist. They've let this problem grow and grow and now they want to talk about this, now that they are out of power. Now, they have set this up to call the coalition into action. They had the opportunity to nip this in the bud but, they turned their backs on all of us, especially the vulnerable. New Labour has the spinsters ready on both counts. Too weak and you're weak on crime, too strong and you're a racist or down play the remarks and you're covering it up. Another no-win trap for the Coalition even if they do what's right for the nation they'll lose out politically. It's time to wake up people, you're nothing more than pawns in this political game of chess.

No its not right and there is no doubt that the government has been suppressing it but the government cannot suppress it without the help of the media. Yes, you are right to say that it does not matter what ethnic group carries out thes atrocities, of course they should be condemned but hold on , you need to ask another question along side the one you have served on this forum and that is: ''Is it right to suppress the fact that certain ethnic groups are carrying out these atrocities?'' my answer to that is no. There is no longer a place in this country for 'reverse racialism', Those ethnic settlers that are soliciting children and white girls as easy targets should be named and shamed for what they are: i.e. Racists Of course people should be able to speak out against what is happening without being branded a racist but what you must understand is that targeting white girls instead of their own kind is racialism and as I said before Reverse Racialism must be stopped and the only way to end it is to speak out. It seems to be - and it begs the question why he did nothing about it whilst he was in a position to do so. Labour seem to have created a crazy country and now want to blame someone else for the pig's ear they made of running it.

Robert C.. your question has already been well answered and I for one agree with many. The only thing I wish to put forward is this, when Straw was a member of the last Government as head of the Justice Department, he would have been more then aware of the circumstances that he has now mentioned. What he has actually tried to do with his statement, is to throw it at this Government, because he did not have the balls at the time when he had the opportunity to voice that concern. Its another typical example of trying to pass the "buck" . You can bet that if somebody from the present government agrees with Straw, they will immediately be classed as "Racist".

Mr Straw has very carefully and sensitively highlighted a problem which has been known for some time. If you saw the interview you will note that he was keen to highlight that most sex offenders in custody are in fact white europeans, however his point, and it is one that must not be lost, is that the Nature of this particular offence is very much related to men of (generally) Pakistani background. To these people, white females are of no value as people, they are there to be used and abused for either personal gratification or financial gain or very often both. What they want to do to these women, they would not do to their own because they see their own as being far above such things, and lest we forget that such an action on a woman of their own kind would bring the kind of retribution that they really would not want. Of course once married, the islamist Pakistani males are free to rape and beat their woman as they please. However that is another issue. The fact that they prey on the young women generally aged between 12 and 16 probably has more to do with them not wanting goods that are too soiled, they do after all have a very very low opinion of white women to begin with. You have clearly stated that you are not racist and I have no reason to doubt you. Sadly, you may well be labelled as such because any statement however factual about someone of colour or ethnic difference to yourself attracts such statements now.

Yes he is correct but me thinks he also has a ulterior motive for his comments, could it be that he has been warned that the shite could be about to hit the fan and Jack Straw is attempting to cover his back with his recent comments, which as far as I'm concerned are too little too late as he is only stating what a lot of people have suspected AND said for years. After all he was the Home Secretary 1997-2001 and the Secretary of State for Justice 2007-2010 at the time that some of these crimes were being committed, which means he was either in ignorance of these crimes or complicit in the sweeping of these crimes under the carpet,,, not good either way. But this is what happens when politicians don't listen and think that they know what's best all the time, because they quite clearly don't. Edit:- I think some people have missed the point these white females were for the most part not even women they were girls some as young as ten, to be honest these men should never be allowed to walk the streets again they must pose a serious threat to young girls, ether they chose these girls because they liked em young or they chose em because they were easy to con and intimidate, either way they must pose a threat to young girls of today and of the future, as far as I'm concerned ANY child rapist should be locked indefinitely. I would show no mercy what-so-ever to any child rapist, whether he or she was Black, White, Asian,,, I'd show none. As far as I'm concerned for these crimes life does mean life.

A crime is a crime no matter who carries it out. Under equality laws their should be no distinction between anyone guilty of committing a crime as understood by the laws of the UK. Race, age, sex or anything else should make absolutely no difference, the same applies when it comes to sentencing.
