What is a great private beach house to rent?

Can anybody recommend a great oceanfront beach house to rent along the North Carolina Coast?

    Have you discovered Tripadvisor.com yet? If you type Outer Banks North Carolina in the search box then click on Forum, you can post your question and get a lot of information from people who have visited as well as people who live there. I don't travel anywhere without spending some time looking through the Tripadvisor site. That said, we've stayed at Corolla Light, Whalehead Beach, and Duck. Ocracoke Island is lovely too.

Yes I sure can. We stay at a great house on Oak Island twice per year and we absolutely love it. The people who own it are great and they have done a nice job of maintaining it. And it is oceanfront. Walk right out the back door and you're on the beach!
