    Actually you can find some pretty good deals all year. I would make sure the place has a website and you look it over good some of the cheaper places are not so nice. Although I have not been there yet the cost of living is high enough for you to not be able to get a cheap oceanfront hotel. Random fact which shouldn't mean anything: Myrtle Beach has one of the highest crime rates in the USA. But its touristy not that you should feel effected. You can get a good prices on hotels with this: http://www.hotelscombined.com/?a_aid=26451 I've used it and it checks all major booking sites for deals.
