When applying for FAFSA student aid, how long does it usually take I know I've been approved?
-
I completed my FAFSA about a month and a half ago and still haven't got any word.

Answer:
You should have recieved somthing by now. You get what is called a SAR (Student Aid Report) from the Dept of Ed. They mail or email it to you - usually in 2 to 3 weeks depending on how busy it is. The info is transmitted to your college, who processes it and sends you an "Award Letter" detailing exactly how much you are being offered. Sometimes the college hasn't sent you an award letter because they need more info from you... so you might want to call them and check.
