  I have a friend who's a secret shopper. Trust me, it's not easy money. Its his career and he only makes about $30,000 a year. He will usually visit about 3 stores a day (usually across different cities), spending at least 2 hours at each one. I went with him once. It's incredibly boring (you just wander around for hours) and they don't want people who are just looking for a part time jobs. They want people who are trying to make a career out of it. But if you want to do it, just apply. There really aren't any requirements. My friend started out at Target but now he's working for Toys R Us.
