    It won't mess up anything. If you plan to marry in the UK then return home you need to file a UK Marriage Visitors Visa which allows you to marry in the UK but not stay. If you plan to marry in the UK and live with him for a while after marriage then you file for a UK fiance visa and must marry within 6 months of arrival If you want to marry in the UK then have him join you in the US, then you come to the UK on a Marriage Visitors Visa. You then return home after marriage and file a CR1 with USCIS which starts the process for your UK spouse to join you in the US. This takes about a year to process
