Which is the right time to write GRE?

  Just out of curiosity, is English your first language? If not, you might be required to take an additional test (TOFEL) with the GRE. If you want to attend grad school in fall 2010, you want to take the GRE this fall, December being your absolute latest date. You'll have to, of course, write this in your personal statement - that you will be taking the GRE in December. It takes at least 6 weeks for schools to get the results, so this will delay your acceptance into a university if applications are due November or December. To practice your writing, I'd suggest going to the ets.org website and look up the ScoreItNow! writing practice. It's 13 dollars and you can practice writing your essays and get scored. This will give you an idea of what you need to work on.
