Lived here 43 years. The weather is nothing like NY. I wear a coat about 20 times the entire year. You will be sweating if you wear a heavy coat. Rain is only about 6 inches per year. A letterman jacket works great. What brings you to San Diego?

SD is of course absolutely NOTHING like NY since it is nowehere near the same longitude/climate that NY is. I mean it's the middle of DECEMBER and it was 77 and sunny yesterday, it's going to be in the mid-high 60's through sunday, and around 70 again next week.

Are you actually moving here? It surprises me to think that you have no idea what the weather is like here, yet you're moving here in a couple weeks.
