Does anybody know of a nice, but cheap hotel in or near hotel circle in san diego ca?

some of the hotel circle hotels are pretty seedy. the ones that are not are not really cheap. I think spending a bit more and staying downtown is worth it. walk out your hotel and get a meal etc get a great vantage for the multiple fireworks shows seen from downtown you have plenty of time to plan it look at the prices and put a little away and have a more enjoyable stay
