Or do you know of a student or teacher who went to a neat place over the summer? What are some of the changes made at the school from last year (may be late for this)? Would the principal, assistant principal or counselor allow a newspaper writer shadow him or her for the day, for a story? What are your peers talking about? Sports? Local/area Broadways shows? Movies? Are there any clubs that meet at your high school? Profile some of them to fill the pages. Anything being done by the school board or superintendent that could affect the school? Issues with drugs? Gangs? Teen pregnancy? Violece? Illness -- either with a student, or a family member? Any ways that the above are being faced? Any new staff members? Or any staffer who has been there a long time?
