For me my own country Philippines is the currently alert level due to terrorist threats and the some places like the airport have raised their security level and also the Light Rail Transit and Metro Rail Transit because it is fully alert level and also the public places and even the shopping center and especially in the some part provinces in Mindanao.Because it is a very strict when it comes to secure and to inspect the things if you want to go in the some places especially if you take a taxi or even a public utility vehicle.

Interesting...I think the alert levels are a recent phenomenon in that they ready emergency services as opposed to the population for possible attack..but this happened on many occassion including the cold war whenkids rehearsed nuclear war drills in class.
