Solve the Case Study?

What is the best way to approach a client regarding a case study?

  • I run a tech consultancy and work with a lot of clients to solve their technical problems. What's the best way to approach them about working with me on a case study?

  • Answer:

The easiest way to approach a customer to ask for a case study is to catch them when their at their happiest. To do that, you have to either: 1) Find hard data proving the value of your product/service and present them with the positive results they've received or.. 2) Ask them right after you help them with an issue. It's all about gauging their mood and striking when the iron is hot. They should be delighted in either case. "Somewhat happy" customers aren't the best ones to target for case studies. :) You can sweeten the deal by telling them that their brand will be featured on your blog and social media, giving them more exposure and inbound links.
