Sanjeev, just to add to the last post. You can take any LIRR train, except the Port Washington Branch, from Penn Station to Jamaica. The one way off peak fare from Penn Station to Jamaica will cost you $5.75, or $8 if you're traveling during the evening rush hour. If you're traveling on the weekends, the one way fare is $3.50. Once at Jamaica, you can take the Airtrain from Jamaica to the airport. The fare is $5 and you will need to purchase a pay per ride (regular) MetroCard at the Airtrain station at Jamaica in order to access the Airtrain system. Another way to get from Penn Station to JFK will be by taking the subway. Take the Queens-bound (eastbound) "E" train (Blue Line on the subway map) from Penn Station to Sutphin Blvd-JFK/Jamaica Station. Once at Sutphin Blvd, you can take the Airtrain from Jamaica to the airport, which will take you take to all terminal. The one way fare is $7.25 ($2.25 on the subway and $5 on the Airtrain). You can take the LIRR (long island rail road) from Penn Station to Jamaica Station . At Jamaica Station you can take the Air Train to JFK. You will have to pay a seperate fare for the Air Train.
