Where's the best place to get married in Vegas, and not by Elvis?

  • My girlfriend is running off to Vegas in July to marry for the second time. She doesn't want tacky and also would like to know of a nice honeymoon suite. Any ideas? Budget not a ...show more

    My wife and I were married at the Top of the Stratosphere a few years back and it was an amazing experience. We checked out quite a few places and none could compare to being 1000 ft above the Strip. It made for some awesome wedding pictures. http://www.robnlisa.net/wedpics.html The staff was excellent as well. They handled everything from the food to the DJ to the minister. It also quite affordable as well. A great resource for anyone planning a Vegas wedding is the book "Neon Nuptials" by Ken Van Vechten. He reviews every chapel in Vegas on a number of criteria and does it in an entertaining manner. Its available at Amazon and its only about $10. Congrats on your upcoming wedding and heres to a long marriage!

The chapels at Caesar's Palace and Mandalay Bay are absolutely beautiful. I'd look into those.

We live in Vegas and my daughter got married in July last year. If she doesn't want tacky, I'd suggest perhaps an outdoor wedding in the morning or as late in the evening as they will do it when it is coolest (or least hot) Please look at this website. It has pictures and your friend will be delighted to get married there. http://www.alwaysandforeverweddings.com My daughter got married at Lakeside Gardens. The Royal Terrace is very beautiful also. They have many different packages. The Venetian has beautiful rooms, as does the Wynn and most of the other hotels on the Strip. It is really pretty & elegant. In remember about 2 years ago on Food Network hosted contest where Giada & Bobby Flay gave winners wedding of their dreams there. It was stunning!!! Very classy and not all typical "Vegas"

There are great places. I would check into the chapel at Excalibur or Wynn or Venetian. As for a stand-alone, Little Chapel of the West.
